Verifying a program

Is there a way in MC to verify a program while watching the lines of code as they are processed?

 

I ask because it would help me find specific areas or lines of code in long programs without having to search. Once the program is in the machine I can do this, but I would like to do this ahead of time if possible.

We sometimes use a metacut program to verify code i think they offer a free demo version for ? number of days.

Metacut (MCU) has a free version for mastercam users. You need to have installed V9 and it will work with light version of MCU. You have less option, but you could see your toolpath from the nc files

You can watch the path in Cimco and slow her down or speed it up. May not be the verify your looking for but it's a good way to check.

Why look at the code ? If verify shows a good part you don't need to look right ?

Thanks for the suggestions. I am not familiar with Metacut or Cimco (I am a newbie), but I will look into them.

 

I know verify can and will show a good part, but sometimes you know there are areas that might need tweaking. This could save some time? It was just a thought.

in V9 was display coordinates in verify mode and I do not see such functionality in X2

actually if you step through is DOES still show the XYZ coordinates

John, yes you are right

but after long time stay between east and west my slanting eyes can watch for changing XYZ coordinates in machine mode too

Mike what you are asking about is software to backplot the code and see the motion while reviewing the code. Mastercam does not do this.the full version of Cimco's editor does have this option I use Predator editor for that simple thought.

 

John has given you a way to review the motion but this before Code is posted.

I didn't know what verbose was/did when it was mentioned in this thread. I searched this forum and got my answer. It's not exactly what I was looking for, but it's close and might come in handy.
