MC8 / MC9 Toolpath Posting?

When I open an MC8 file and add addtional toolpaths in V9 it wants to create two NC files when posted. The original MC8 toolpaths as a file and the additional V9 paths as another file.

 

This is has happened a couple times, since updating to version 9 from version 8.

 

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or what...

In Op. Manager, select all, "right-click" and in options, click change NCI destination... it could be your problem...

OK, that worked out fine then it seems.

 

What exactly does that do? I've never seen or had that problem before in V8 or in newly created V9 files.

You basically had two different NCI files. One for V8 and a new one created for V9. The next time you merge your files, notice the NCI section of your operations manager. You will see two different names for the respective versions. Just do as FRED mentioned and everything should work fine. It is kind of a pain, but the end result will be good.

Check your NCI path settings under SCREE/CONFIGURE/NC SETTINGS/NCI PATH. Most likely what is happening is that these settings are causing the 2 seperate NCI files. One NCI file from the original MC8 operations and one for the new operations added using V9.

I checked the NCI Path in the Screen -> Configure -> NC Settings and it is currently set at: never to prompt for NCI path and initialize NCI path to last created operation.

 

Maybe this should be set for current MC9 filename?
