Yet another X+ question

I just started using this the last couple of days and it worked great creating setup sheets yesterday. But today I tried it on another part and our company logo and the little tool icon logos are not loading in to the html file?

I did a search and couldn't fin an explanation for this. Does anyone know what I am missing?

Thanks,

Kevin,

Open up your created setup sheet. From the top menu-View-Source. Look for the path to your logo file. You should see a line that looks something like this.

code:

<tr><td colspan=2 align=center><img border=0 src="file://C:/McamX2-MR2/logo.gif"></td></tr>

Did you find the path? Does your path make sense?

Hey thad,

Here is that line from my source.

code:

 <tr><td colspan=2 align=center><img border=0 src="file://C:/mcamx/logo.gif"></td></tr>

That does look right.

I can get it to work if I move the HTM file that is created by X+ from my part folder to the mcamx folder where the logo file is located. I keep my part folders on a network drive though. Is there something in X+ that you can conifgure to show it where your logo file is?

Thanks,

I seem to have tracked down the problem. The X+ setup sheet will post to the same folder where you post your NC-files. I was posting my NC files on a different drive from where Mastercam was installed. I was able to get it to wok right by first posting the NC-file to the mcamx folder and then post the setup sheet.

Is this the way it is supposed to work?

Thanks

Kevin,

As long as your logo exists in this location, there should be no problem with it showing up regardless of where you post your programs to. I create my setup sheet after posting and the setup sheet gets put in the same folder too. Then I move it to where I want it. EDIT: This is assuming that you don't save the setup sheet when it comes up. See below.

I don't remember the exact sequence, but I think it goes like this. Create your setup sheet and when it pops up, click File-Save. Now look in the folder where the setup sheet is and you'll see a folder containing the icon. Your setup sheet points to that folder now (instead of C:/mcamx) so as long as you copy/move all of those file together, anyone who opens them will see the logo. I didn't want to be bothered with the extra folders (one in each detail folder) so I created a C:/mcamx folder that contains the logo on all of the PCs (3?) that look at setup sheets.

Note that after creating a setup sheet, the file is automatically saved when it pops up. I just click close. Saving it produces the extra folders that I mentioned in my last paragraph.
