X2 to X3 Post Parameter Utility!

We now have the X2 to X3 post parameter utility available for public download. This utility scans and corrects the parameter numbers used inside a post file.

This utility does not work if your post processor has a .bin file and the parameter tables are inside of the bin file. You will need to talk with your Mastercam Dealer to correct those posts.

I have tested this utility on limited systems here at our office but have not had very much debug time. Please provide feedback via email at the address listed below.

Please send email to [email protected]

Download at: www.fastechinc.net/Install.zip

Thank You

it will work on a post with a psb if the parameter tables are not stored in the psb. The best way to check is to run the utility on your post. If it finds the values it will fix them. If it doesn't find them then it will only end up making a backup copy of your post, so no harm done.

We love feedback so please let us know how it works for you.

  • 1 month later...

Hello All,

I have been running MasterCam X2 for the better part of a year. This forum is very informative, with some very very knowledgeable people. I am finding the reading quite interesting. We just installed X3 over X2 and have the feed/speed issue. However for neophyte's such as I; could someone explain how to use the *.exe file Alex Cole posted ?

Here are the steps to use the program.

1. Install program

2. Run the program

3. Use the open command to load and correct the post.

When the program is complete it will notify you and it will have made a backup copy of the post.

If your post has a psb file the parameter tables might be inside the .psb file. If this is the case then this utility will not fix the issue and you will need to send the post to your reseller to have it corrected.

Hope this helps

Alex
