I am not sure what you mean by push geometry.

As far as custom tools go, include the mcx path of the custom tool into the table, and for all other tools, they go into the appropriate fields.

The info is passed into Mastercam through importing library files.

Just a heads-up for anyone considering WinTool for Mastercam.

I spent the better part of a year on a WinTool implementation for a very large company using ESPRIT.

In my personal opinion, the software is not ready for prime time.

All I can say is, you can forget about any qualified support in the US.

WinToolUSA is primarily an ESPRIT dealer so you can forget about getting any real support for Mastercam.

Heck, they barely know the WinTool product and you can forget about them ever returning your phone calls.

I ended up knowing the software better than they did.

I actually gave them the information to fix their Setup for 64-Bit and their license manager.

There were 4 registry entries they simply weren't setting and so the data paths wouldn't stick.

The license manager used to be IP based and was extremely sensitive.

If you modified it to use the computer name then there was no problem

and you didn't have to worry about IT re-provisioning IP addresses company wide.

We have just started using it here. I was actually on the forum looking for some help on it. We have a unusual issue where as when we bring in a tool from wintool it deletes another tool already in use from Mastercam. Has anyone seen this?

Ray,

Double check the description and type of the tool being deleted.

WinTool only allows a single unique entry for any component or assembly.

However, you can have as many copies of that tool in a tool list as you want.

What version of WinTool are you using?
