Selecting chains by window

I'm having a problem selecting chains with window is anyone else having this problem in x-3 I'm not sure what would be causing this issue. Any help would be great.

Having the same issue here. Window chains and nothing is selected correct?

If your entities are at different Z depths make sure the 3d radio button is selected and not C-Plane. Other wise it will only select the things at the current Z depth.

It selects outside the window no matter if you have In, Out, In+ or Out+ selected.....(on mine anyway)

how does sumething like that get released.isnt there a checklist of sorts before.glad i stayed in x2.

no problem here

draw the selection box click on approximate starting point , and everything is selected correctly

 

2D select all entities on the selected dept

 

3D select all entities in the box no matter the dept

 

check if your C-plane and T-plane are correct

Everything is on one level. With the cplane or 3d selected it will still not work. With inside outside you name it. I'm not sure at this point what to do. I used to use this function all the time I never had a problem before. Now it just says select contour chain 1 and that’s it....

Ok so if I go into chaining options and I check the closed chains and the open chains it will now select the text. However before I used to get a select the starting point now I don’t get that it just goes right into the tool parameters for contour after I select the green check.......

Thanks Roger I figured it had to be some kind of operator error.
