The post CD and book (a MasterCAM reference written 1997) are about the only thing out there that I know about. We just picked those up from our reseller ourselves for very short $. Tough to understand at first for shop guys like me, but if you have some computer programming knowledge its much easier to understand (at least thats what our resident computer-smart guy tells me). Even if you only get limited use out of it, you can't go wrong for the $.

We've covered this many times ....

Best thing to do is to jump right into it...

Try the MP_EZ.pst. Make a copy called "test.pst" or something and start changing things.

Lot of sections to look at. You will notice that all lines with # at the beginning are notes that do not come out in the NC file.

Set "fastmode" variable to "0" so you can see each postblock that is being read.

Start with "psof" section (p is for postblock, sof is for start of file).

Make 1 change at a time and test it out when posting.

Start of with a simple rectangle ...

And keep going ....
