THE right directions

OK I'm looking at a 1982 mori seiki lathe. But I don’t know much about them. My main concern would be a post. They also have a small Mill I never heard of before. Mayano It appears to be some type of Fanuc control. The owner says it’s a Fanuc Om controller and the mori seiki is a yasmak controller. Does this sound right? I’ll probably talk to my reseller also. Do we have any post in the standard install that I could try before I buy..... Thanks any advice on this purchase would be great.

As far as the controls go it sounds spot on to me. mpmaster should be fine for the fanuc control, you will have to dig a little deeper for a yasnak post.

i have ran miyano drill and tap centers in the past good machines JMO. mpmaster should be just fine for that as for the lathe cant help ya there im just a mill guy
