How do you but a border around the drawing & put a title block for the part number, date,etc., in Mastercam V8.0?

in mastercam website you have setup sheet (html)

it's different look and free

in version 9 under sample mc9 files they have a whole bunch off drawling layouts a size b size etc etc

but i cant seem to up load to the ftp site ???

maybe someone else could doit for you

I created my own page border with title block and logo as a .doc file. To print out, I use screen/to clipboard, then paste it on the page in Word and print it.

MACHINEMASTERG, the title blocks are also in V8 they have ben there for many version.

 

All you have to do is file get find the title blocks dir and put your model in the lay out the way you want and print.Oh ya and fill in the block info on the part info & designer and so on.

All these suggestions are good for printing out a hardcopy of the part with toolpath information or Solid parts arranged in more than one view or to quickly get an image from Mcam into Word. If you want a drawing border with the title block, like what used to be drawn by hand on a Drafting board, what you can do is File-Merge the drawing border from the MC8/Samples/Title_Blocks folder. There are several sizes to choose from and the Merge dialog looks just like a File-Get, so you can Preview the border before merging it. HTH
