control def rapid motion options not working

The three different options for rapid motion (under linear topic) have no change on posted code. In particular "linear interp at max feed rate" is what I'm after. Are these buttons not hooked up for my post, or just not hooked up at all?

 

Running an up-to-date fanuc/haas hybrid post.

Hard to say for your case. But the buttons work for me with X3 base release

Depends on the post..If you are using a and old v9 post that's been upgraded a few times, probably not..

The default setting have always produced the results I needed so I havn't messed with them since early X days

If your talking 5-axis then, no, only the post drives the motion.

If you have a custom 5 axis post written for X then it will work

As shown here parameter 18518 is used to control this type of output in X posts.

 

If you really want to keep a V9 or earlier post, you can copy the parameter read routines from an X post.

 

It is also possible to control this with an mi$ switch in your post.
