Can I input a binary number from 1 to 4 using any type of FADAL input board and run a different subroutine based on the number input?

I guess I just had a brain fart.

What I want is to program that when a certain condition exist, go to one of several subroutines

without having the operater to input or press any keys.I was thinking MACRO was the way to go.

Make sense or am I asking too much?

Macro is a way to go,

 

you can use a IF # and a GOTO statement.

When your programs are dependent on contingencies, I would use a MACRO as well.

The question is how to input the binary number via an I/O card. Meaning I want to input several electrical signals each representing 1's and 0's and have the program interpret these as a number ie. 00=0, 01=1, 10=2, 11=3 etc. the program then needs to jump to different subroutines. I can see how to write the macro but I can not find a way to enter the signals to the program. The I/O card that fadal sells simply waits for an input transition of a "0" to a "1" and stops the program until the transistion occurs, as such there appears to be no way to enter a "0".
