  7. I have tried to learn X2 but have not been able to learn it. Belive me, I have tried. Maybe it has something to do with my learning ablities(not trying to be funny). But up to version 9.2 eveything was pretty simple. X2,X3 I cannot get the hang of it. Machine definitions, tool paths, tools menu, all confuse me. I do want to learn it and will keep trying.
  8. TheePres Somewhere I have a floppy that I got from a tool guy it was free and legal. It calculates measurement using any wires and also recommends best wires to use and all thread info you might need.I am sure you can also calculate pipe threads. All data can be printed. You can also input any special thread size, pitch that you want.I was already using Gage Master when I got this.Works great. Let me know if you want this and how to get it to you. God Bless All Joe

  18. Hi, I have 2 Fadals and both are set to format 1. All the programming is done using Mastercam. We never have had any problems or reason to change format. We can program at the control if we so desire, but raraly do. As far as programming a "D" you do not have to,only the "H".You will be able to OFFSET "D" & "H" with no problems. I assume you are taking most of the programming off the floor. Your biggest problem will be getting over all the complaints from the operators at first. GOD BLESS AMERICA GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS Joe
  19. Hi Tazzer I really would like to get the file for this.Would it be possible for you to send it to me. GOD BLESS AMERICA Joe

  23. I have made a compression tool already. Quickmike,to answer your question when the spring in my compression tool is compressed 50% it equals 40 lbs. MillTurn your idea has made me think of something else I will try this weekend. James, pretty much seems to be on the same page as me. I thank all you guys for your input and fast replies. GOD BLESS AMERICA Joe
  24. Hi James and Redk, Thanks for your quick reponse.I have the option to check evey tool before using it with a Renshaw probe or setting the tool life.Tools breaking are not a problem. Also have air or water to blow chips off vises and parts before next part is machined. We have almost completed hooking up conveyor to cnc control and that will feed part into vises and lower or raise conveyor.(This is a long process/we are learning as we go along ). If this works or not a least we gave it our best shot. I have thought about making the contact surface on the plunger wider and longer to fit the part. Also as James mentioned move the part into position, clamp, move plunger over center of part and open and close jaws again. Thank you very much for your input Joe
