moving the wcs

I have x3 mill level 1 without the solids option. I am trying to move the wcs on a solid so I can machine which is now the bottom of the part. Is there a way to move the wcs and flip the part at the same time without the solids option?

Yes you can create your wcs from solid face or create curve on edge and create wcs from geometry

in your saved file go to the options and turn on the trimed surfaces.

or just click rotate wcs

ok storky is right again.

[gcode]

Draw 2 lines perpendicular to each other.

The intersction of the lines will be your WCS

origin and the lines run away fromt the origin

in the postive direction.

Click on Planes at the bottom of your screen

The "Planes by Geometry"

Select the X axis line first, near the origin

then the Y axis line..

A triad will pop up.. if its correct, Geeen Check and a New View page will pop up

Name it something useful

MAKE SURE THE ORIGIN IS CORRECT

and Check "set as WCS"
