2D HSM regen crash

I did a search and didn't find anything so if this is a repeat I apologize....

Has any one had issues with Hsm core mill thinking its ok to cruze thur your part confused.gifconfused.gif I only have problems after the first depth cut or if I translate and try to regen. This is driving me NUTS. I'm just thankfull a quick thumb on feed hold saved a $20K chunk of Ti, and maybe I should learn to re-verify after rotating bonk.gifbonk.gif

 

Sorry its bean awhile since Iv poked around in here....

On the Linking Parameters page

there is a retract drop down in the upper

right corner.

It has three options

If you use

Minumum Vertical Retract

or

Minumum Distace

you should check the

"Output Feed move" box or

you will git bit sooner or later.

This is especially true if your machine

does not rapid in straight line.

 

If you had

Full Vertical Retract checked

and your Clearance Plane was

safely above the part.. its

probably a bug.. and you should send the file

to QC if you are allowed to do that.
