Space Pilot / Solidworks

I have just loaded SolidWorks2009 on my pc (the same one with MX2 on it) I can not get SolidWorks to recon my Space pilot any help....

If you installed SW after the Pilot was installed, you'll have to reinstall the Pilot software so it picks up the SW installation

Go into Tools/Addins and make sure

3D Control is turned on

The reinstall should have worked if it did not, have you downloaded the latest driver or are you using the disc install?

 

Other than that I would check the 3DConnexion

I am guessing you have a serial port connected spaceball. These no longer function in Solidworks starting, I believe with SW2009.

Racerx is right but it actually that happen in 2008 were the serial port will no longer work you will have to use a usb.

yes, those NEED to be reinstalled, if SW is installed and the Space Pilot has been previously installed.

 

If you install the Space Pilot first, it does not add the SW plug in as it is not found on the system.
