OT - Window wiper??

I've seen them at IMTS on Mori machines, looks like a circular item that keeps coolant clear from the window so you can see in. Having trouble seeing inside with high pressure coolant running. Anybody have any idea who makes them? I've done a net search and have not found the specific ones I saw at show on Mori machines.

Your looking for this:

PMT Rotary Wiper

They have 2 styles, screw-on or stick-on

We have both styles,, if you ever have to replace the stick-on style, plan on replacing the whole window Once they are stuck on,, they don't come back off!!!

The rotary viewports are BITCHIN. Unfortunately, they are also expensive. I think around $1,600.

 

Exair makes an air knife, and an "air disk" that will just stick to the window and blow off a nice little clear area. I haven't tried one, but they have a video of it working somewhere on their maze-like website.

I guess my next question is: are you limited to how far you can open your door now because you have something sticking out on the inside glass?

Our Matsuura came with one, this thing sucks. chips jams between two rotation disks, what results in the thing stops spinning.

Money would have been better spent on beer and pizza
