I'll get the specs on that robot specifically.

 

But with, robots you're looking at (new) between 20-80k depending on what brand, how big you get them and what options.

Depending on the robot (newer are better) and calibration, I think the best anyone is quoting is +/- 0.010.. I've seen results at a theoretical +/- 0.004. I remember about that Staubli though and being shocked, I'll try to find better numbers.

For high accurate applications, not a very long time. 5-10 years. I may be off with my values, Fanuc mentioned I have to goto their facility to see their new Calibration systems which are "approaching CNC type accuracy"

 

I've used a massive, high accuracy robot with a reaaally nice laser. Do many cncs have a camera down the center of the tool??
