will any version of MC run on the new macs?

This is gov so I dont think vista will be on them.

we have 9.1 0105 used the most.

X SP2 and X3

new machines are coming and i could get a laptop out of it also.

Macs are basically unix machines under the hood. There are windows emulators for Mac but keep in mind that if you're outside of windows you're outside the supported world. I use a powerbook for audio/video and raster graphics only. CAD/CAM strictly on PC platform

I use a MacBook Pro to program mastercam runs fast actually. but you need to run bootcamp and install windos XP pro on it.

 

On my Mac pro desk top I run VMware then XP 64bit pro.

Runs well to.I have not ran V9 on it but we have it on one of the other Macpros here.

You will have to boot into Windows to get the best performance and full dealer support. You could also run it in a virtual machine. Download virtualbox and give it a whirl.

 

You can't run MC in Mac OS. Yet. Is it possible? Maybe one day. The WINE project has lots of promise. I tired to install it the other day using WINE, I made very little progress. If I ever get it running on Mac OS X or linux, I will post instructions, but don't hold your breath, the WINE project is still young.

like suggested earlier either Bootcamp or VMware are the best so fare for this. but you will still need XP pro.

Just to confirm.

V9 is my drug of choice.

learning these new video games gets harder every year.

cant quite get all the same keyboard commands to work in X like I use in 9
