Problem with Finish Parallel Surface tool path

Recommended Posts

I have three surfaces--one radius, and two angular. I created one toolpath OK, the second gave me this error message "Machine compatibility warning: Machine does not have a programmable combination of linear/rotary axes to perform this operation"

When I click OK MCX2 crashes ... eek.gif

Anybody knows what to do? frown.gif

What is the best way of doing this?

The way that works wink.gif

Sometimes you can just reselect your machine def and reload it, most times you have to select a different machine and then go back in and reselect your machine again.

In a couple of rare cases I have had to do a file >> save as >> rename the file, reload a different machine, then the correct machine again, then resave as the original file name.

The one that works is the one I'd sugest

From the Files page of your Operations Manager

Select replace, and reselect the machine definiton

Every MCX files has an internal copy of this machine def and it sometimes gets corrupted.File/replace will overwrite the internal copy with a fresh uncorrupted copy.
