REST ROUGH WITH MULTIPLE STL FILES

OP #1 Roughed using area clnc with a 1" bull. Verified and saved an stl named 1000_rough.stl

 

OP #2 Rest rough using a 1/2" bull and the 1000_rough.stl cad file. Verified using the 1000_rough.stl as stock and saved an stl named 500_rough.stl. Everything great so far.

 

OP #3 Rest rough using a 1/4" bull and the 500_rough.stl cad file. The stl file xform dialog pops up with the stl model like usual, BUT, it is obvious that the model displayed include BOTH the 1000_rough.stl and 500_rough.stl combined. I've had this issue since the invention of MCX and brought it to the attention to my reseller over a year ago and of course I had no reply. What am I doing wrong and is this a bug?

did you try running the toolpath?

 

I had something similar with a single STL file. I decided to run it and see what happens and it calculated fine.

Peon, I've also come across this however, if I remember correctly, it's only an issue with the stl preview. Your rest rough op should still work properly.

You were both correct. IT WORKED GREAT!!! The preview is just incorrect leading me to believe it was gonna reference the incorrect .stl file. Thanks fellas!!!

Double
