X4 rollout seminar Part2

I do the first of our rollout seminars tomorrow. For those of you who have already been to one, what did you think?

I went to the one put on by McamNW yesterday..

Lots of good stuff coming!!!

The new Dynamic mill toolpaths are awesome.

Also 5-ax circle mill will be very usefull..

 

On the downside,,, Tim said that CNC is working on MMT but it will not be in Mastercam for at least 2 more years!?!?!

The multi turning-milling machines are the wave of the future, how can they keep ignoring this???

Anyone remember MATSS???

I went to the one at Cimtech on monday morning. Rich did a nice job of showing us the new features. Looks like mill is getting some nice additions. Lathe looks like it gets nothing significant. Glad i am a mill guy.

I went to Prism Engineering on June 2nd. I have been beta testing X4 but the rollout was still very informative. I reccomend anyone who can should attend.

That's what we were told. Look for the download. That will be available first. They said maybe in 2 weeks - or sooner. End of month for deliveries on CD.

What do you mean? Boring bars in verify are now round!

 

We were told that X4 could be released on the web as early as the beginning of next week. The Dynamic pocketing in the 2D HSM paths looked great.

"Wave fo the Future" my @$$. Ten freaking years ago they were the "wave of the future". Somebody seriously needs to pull their head out of their @$$ and get with the program.
