Missing pocket toolpaths

I just got done loading up and installing mastercam X2 for my father in law and everything seems fine but when you go to generate a pocket toolpath the only options that come up under the roughing section is Zigzag and oneway. Missing spiral, true spiral morph spiral etc.... Anybody have a solution to this problem?

A 2D pocket toolpath or a Surface Rough Pocket toolpath? It sounds like you have Mill 2 and are trying to do Multi-surface Roughing.

 

Mill level 2 only supports those two methods of pocketing for surface machining...

 

I seem to remember something about a product called Mill Entry that only supported limited 2D toolpaths as well.

 

Your best bet is to contact your Mastercam reseller and get them to help you.

I have mill level 3 and it is 2d pocketing.

sounds like mill entry.

Select Help->About, and then the Hasp button to check that the license is correct.

make sure someone hasn't used Mastercam Launcher to change startup
