Bug X4 MU1and Mu2 in Highfeed ?

Hello,

 

we have problems with the Highfeed toolpath since X4 MU1 and MU2.

Until now, we got no response from our reseller.

 

I've made videos to show you what happens.

Here is toolpath from X4 (same on X-X3):

Check it out and tell me if it's a bug.

Because we use the highfeed very often, i can't install X4 MU1 or MU2 until now.

Looks like a bug to me..

you should email this to

[email protected]

 

What happens if you break the top line at midpoint

and turn off

"enter and exit at midpoint in closed contors"

In another operation i have no retract at the end of the toolpath.

I think it's the same.

Check if your retract height is at .1 and you clear

is at , say 1.

I reported this problem on 10/22/09.

I sent it to my reseller who duplicated the problem and reported it to CNC Software. I also sent it in to QC@mastercam. So far no response. Must be a bug.

I would have thought it would have been addressed in MU2, that was in October. Must of had bigger fishes to fry, i guess.

Hope so, as I was just starting to use High Feed more often than not.

I forwarded this thread to QC yesterday..

they were able to reproduce the problem

and issued a bug number..

Still got no fix in X4MU3.

Have to wait until X5 or will there be a MU4 ?

This looks like it's fixed for X5 (don't ask me how I know ); I don't know if another MU or Service Pack is coming for X4.
