BP Interact II Heidenhain TNC 2500 problem

Hey ppl. So on this Machine, I'm trying to help my co-worker set-up to ream. Bore-in/out. Will this machine handle this function? When choosing it in mastercam, it wants to peck no matter what we change. We tried all of the boring cycles it has. Any ideas? TIA

On our Heidenhain, if it isn't a peck drill op, it needs to be programmed with linear moves. We were able to get away with the peck by telling the machine that the peck was larger than the distance to drill. As far as boring in and out, not sure if it's possible. I'll look into it further. I have a book.

In that case, just long code it for now, and worry about a custom drill cycle later, to do it for you in the future.

Edit:

Mike - You should be able to un-check the canned cycle output for G85 & G86 in the control def to get long code.

If your post won't do it,(it should output long code no problem, but I've seen some that won't), shoot me an Email with a copy of your post and I'll hook you up with a couple custom drill cycles to make this easier for you next time around.

So I'm still trying to iron out the errors in this post for my co-worker so he doesn't have to edit EVERY time. I can't find how to eliminate the "-" symbol at the feed value. If anybody wants to/can help, I'll send the post. I tried attaching, but I'm not permitted to.(is the messgae I got)

F20 will give you a feedrate of 2.00 ipm F200 will give you 20.0 ipm. ilooked thru my Tnc 530 post and can't find where it is getting the feed rate from for the drilling cycle. there is a cycle def for reaming. your pecking depth has to be larger than the drilling depth for the machine not to peck

I'm back on this...after a break I wanted to come back and work on the negative feed output. I tried messing with the post debugger, but couldnt get much from it. I attached a pic of the outputted code and the line in the post that corresponds. ANything look familiar to anyone? I'm just trying to eliminate the - symbol in front of the feedrate, so it doesn't have to be edited out every time.
