Tool holders in Mastercam

I was assigning toolholders to my tools in the operation manager and I had to assign the holder in every operation, regardless if it used the same tool or not. For tool 4 I had to assign the holder several times. Is there a way to assign holders once so it sticks with the tool?

I use this so I get a more accurate verify. It really helps with 5-axis parts where things get tight.

Cant wait till it's fixed.. I really like the new tool holders for verification and also the way they work within Active Reports to give a visual drawing of the holder and tool. It Helps the set-up guys who cant or wont read..

I now have a pretty extensive library of every holder in our shop.

I would say that it is partially fixed.

Now in X5 we have what we can call tool assemblies.

Once you've assigned a holder to a specific tool it will stick to the tool for this mastercam file.

Also if you change your holder in an operation, you will have the option to update all assemblies at the same time.

Yes, I have been doing this but every time I start a new X5 file, I have to do this every time. It is a great feature but I want a tool library with holders every time. we use mostly shrink fit holders here and some holders and tools dont change for the most part. I hope they are working on this
