5-axis chamfer?

I use advanced multiaxis to do "clean" 5axis chamfers.

 

multiaxis:

surface paths:

parallel to curve

tool axis control:

tilt angle at side of cutting dir.:

90 - will yield swarf like cutting

0 - cuts the chamfer normal to surface

 

You can play with other settings but in these are important...!!!

I have had issues with the 3D chamfer because it doesn't keep the chamfer even with large steepness changes in the curve. The 3D works well for subtle depth changes though. Maybe I'm just doint it wrong, but i pretty much do it exactly as you described. Am I missing a setting? I think the only way to really do it well is as Savant put it.
