  1. I'm looking for a Verisurf operator in the San Diego area...!!!
  2. I wish the holeaxis function was still a c-hook. Back on "X", I installed the free holeaxis and I got more than I wanted. I just uninstalled it. Personally, I'm willing to live without it than to have all that extra junk that came with it. I've known Ernie for over 10 yrs, worked with Ernie.....great guy. I think Vicky was the office mgr., human resources, payroll, etc., etc. However, I'm failing to make the connection between Ernie and Vicky and customer importance...??? Anyway, Verisurf is a great product. I just had some problems, didn't wanna deal with'em, it was free, didn't have to pay for it, uninstalled it, DONE...!!! The Square '11.....#1 UCLA '89
  3. Pascal, It seems like the axis angle description values under the 5 axis rotary settings, might be your problem. I would look at your "primary axis angle description" settings. Try these: rotaxis1$ = vecx rotdir1$ = vecy The Square '11....#1
  4. Joe788....Contact your reseller, perhaps he/she can be "helpful"...!!! The Square '11.....#1
  5. Contact your reseller, he/she should be able to help you out...!!!
  6. IMHO, I found the post teling me not to waste my computing resources and the one with the tool/machine, part/machine, part/tool problems X1000 more "helpful" than someone telling me that my reseller will set-me-up...!!! If I don't have some'm "hepful" to share, I shut-up...!!! I'm just sayin'...!!! UCLA '85 The Square '11.....#1
  7. NO...!!! The Square '11.....#1

  9. Jammer......LOL...!!! That s#!? was funny...!!! Can u tote a gun in S.C...??? "Thee Square '11.....#1" -Copyright UCLA '89
  10. So, Dave, how's the Versa-LOK selling...??? Is there a big demand...??? How long have u been offering this product...??? Thee Square '11.....#1 UCLA '89
  11. Cool....I just learned how to do the "quote" thingy...!!! Thee Square '11.....#1 UCLA '89
  12. Jammer: quote: I bought one of these, took it all apart and modified it to meet my specifications. My new design is not for sale, but I will give it to you. [big Grin] I'll take a look at it, ONLY if it's better...!!! Thax...!!! Thee Square '11.....#1 UCLA '89
  13. I dunno 'bout y'all but Alanu's design looks pretty cool. Imma make myself one, however, Imma put 6 techno-grips on mine as to NOT violate his patent. Imma name my gripping system "TECHNO-GRIP"...!!! UCLA '89
  14. We also have the Jergens system, here...!!! It's a cool system, however, be aware that thermal expansion of your plate might affect the center center distance tolerance, +/-.0002. Therefore, it could affect repeatability and binding...!!! Alanu23: Jergens also offers two options for the receiver bushing, the green bushing in ur illustration. We have the face mount bushings. I felt that if the bushing ever needed to be changed, it'd be an easy fix. And it has been. However, you could go with the back mount bushing. Jergens also boast 20,000 lbs. hold-down force per shank...!!! Dave: Imma look into the Unilock system, it caught my interest...!!!
  15. Fadals...!!! Thee Square '11.....#1
  16. X4 MU3: I've used 2D HST Blend Mill b4, however, I had not with different WCS. It works ok with Top-plane WCS, however, when you change the WCS plane to "bottom", you get a mirrored toolpath. Has anyone encountered this? BTW, there is a PIA work-around...!!! The other tool paths in 2D HST seem to work ok...!!! Thee Square '11.....#1
  17. +1000 Rizzo...!!! malo: If you're starting w/ 3D surfacing HST toolpaths is a great starting point. If you're using X4, you'll get used to the tree-style parameters with ease. The illustrators are cool, too. To some of us, it's taking a lil' longer to get adjusted, but you shouldn't have any problem. Just dive-in and try different toolpaths to get an idea of what they do. 18. I use advanced multiaxis to do "clean" 5axis chamfers. multiaxis: surface paths: parallel to curve tool axis control: tilt angle at side of cutting dir.: 90 - will yield swarf like cutting 0 - cuts the chamfer normal to surface You can play with other settings but in these are important...!!! The Square '11.....#1
  19. Dolphin: I was wondering if it could be done in the parameters holder tree w/o having to go that route...!!! I thank you for your help...!!! The Square '11.....Member #1
  20. In X4, how can I save a holder form one library to another library in parameters...!!! In advance, I'd like to thank ya'll for all your helpful responses...!!! The Square '76.....Member #1

  23. Good Morning Ron, We have a FARO arm. What would make us change to the 3DGage...??? I saw the video in the Master3DGage site and Ernie & Andy look fatter & Jerry looks older and grumppier...!!! LOL...!!! The Square '10
  24. Great tip...!!! Make sure your construction mode is "3D" on your status bar at the bottom of the screen if you don't want to spend 1/2 hr. figuring out why creat-point-dynamic works for everyone BUT you.
