Z Axis Milling

What toolpath would be used for milling in the Z axis?

I would imagine surface rough plunge. I have never had a chance to use it so unfortunately I won't be of much help setting it up. I am sure there are other toolpaths that might work also depending on your geometry. Can you post a screenshot?

 

Also what version of Mastercam do you have?

Are you talking about constant Z milling? Or plunge milling in Z?

Can you pot a screenshot of the part you need to make?

Plunge Milling. I have deep pocket to rough out.

I've never used the plunge milling toolpath, but there are a lot here that have, I'm sure they can get you going in the right direction.

Do you have surfaces? What kind of shape? I have used surface rough plunge in the past with success. I just need more info to help you out.
