how to repeat tap in x4

can someone please advise how to program repeat tapping in x4 i have a 3/8-16 tap that needs to go 1.500 inches deep in 6061.

 

would like to do so in increments.

Can you form tap, if so, go full depth - no problem at all

On the cut parameters page you can use peck with a rigid tap cycle.

for some reason i cant adjust the peck parameters i the rigid tapping setting in x4cut parameters page,the boxes are grayed out.

 

i have allready searched and enabled the repeat rigid tapping parameters long before this post.unfortunately i cant or use gcode written at the control

 

i did like the animated google noob link that was very entertaining lol.

 

i wound up creating 6 toolpaths going deeper each time to workaround this glitch.

As long as the spindle orientates before that tap cycle, I just taps all holes once and then re tap at a new depth with no trouble. This even lets the operator clear the holes for the second time around.

Try selecting drill/counterbore. Then re-select the tap cycle you want. The boxes should be editable now.

It is a very annoying new bug since the last couple of releases.
