need smaller radius in pockets on a surface

Recommended Posts

I have a bunch of surface pockets on the slope of a dome shaped part. Now the customer wants smaller radii in the corners, but no new model of course. I'm having trouble figuring out how to do this without re-drawing the part.

I used surface finish scallop, start point in the middle. Works fine. I tried to chase it with a 3D contour, but I can't change the fillets in 3D.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

I always import step files as solids so I can modify if necessary then make surfaces from solids to machine to. Modifying the solid would be 10x easier than modifying trimmed surface models at least for me anyway. smile.gif

Toolpath /Surface / Finish / Project.

Make a toolpath that cuts the sufaces walls with contour in 2d and project that onto the surfaces using the tool dia. that will give the proper inside corner rad.

Bag the model, get this running and move onto the next part. cool.gif
