trimming

I had a problem simply trimming a small arc to a larger arc. no matter how I tried to trim the two together the wrong portion of the arcs alternately disappeared or appeared in unusual positions and not at intersecting points. I used Surfcam for years, they have a button that is simply called "OTHER" to allow you to toggle through all the various trim results. Is there anything like that in Mastercam?

use "break two pieces" to cut circles at intersection and delete unwanted entities remaining

 

trim + tangent circles can be a bit tricky, it a lot easier this way

start trim..

press 1 to enable single trim

press B to enable break

click on the circles like you would normally trim them.. then delete the unwanted parts

Divide works nice for trimming. Just click click click away.
