Toyoda FMS

Thanks for your replies guys (and thanks for the email James. I will email today).

On the Cell Controller software, we currently have all the NC files for the FMS stored in subfolders under a FMS folder on drive C.

I want to eventually move all the files onto a network drive, but I want to test the use of the Network first, so I mapped a drive to a trial folder on one of our servers. However, I can't set up the programmes in the trial folder, and set up a fixture, with a data chip, because I can't get the Monitor software to see the mapped drive/folder. I can browse to the mapped drive using Create New, and when I try to create a folder, it creates it on the server, but doesn't add it to the other folders in the Monitor. Is it something I am possibly doing wrong?

We've had limited training on this system, and the documentation isn't that clear.

That 800MM Toyoda in Garden Grove California is a good machine. I know that actual machine well. Anybody that does steel hogging may want to have a good look at it.

Shoot Kev.... I'm too dang old to be starting a shop. Too many hours in a startup. Plus, I am actually having fun where I am.

Just a grammer, no more management, no more people baggage, 48 hrs a week. Ima ridin teh gravy train. biggrin.gif

Plus, I don't think I would be comfortable pulling the blood card, as I am against affirmative action.

But thanks for thinking of me... cheers.gif
