overiding feed values

Hi there

Can anyone tell me how to edit my post so that my feedrates are posted as a common value that I've chosen, for example I want to change all my feed rates to Q30.This helps the operators on the machines because they can easily change feedrates by changing one value instead of finding and replacing all.

Ideally, you should be giving them the feed rates that they need. Just a suggestion...

But we are machining aluminium at high speed and we are a 24 hr workshop and as I am not here 24hrs it helps the operators to adjust the feeds themselves depending on cutting conditions.

There are several ways.Try this one.

 

1:MAIN MENU

2:SCREEN

3:CONFIGURE

4:NC SETTING

5:OPERATION DEFAULTS

6:Open your DEFAULTS.DF8 file

7:Change feeds in your OPERATIONS to whatever you want them to post as.

 

As I said there are several ways.

This is not real hard to do, but

without having the actual PST file....

 

Also, you probably need 2 variables.

You need one for you PLUNGE feedrate in addition to the Q30 variable for the CUTTING feedrate.
