Solidworks 2003, trouble coverting

Do I need to upgrade Mastercam V9.sop1 converter to covert solidworks v2003 parasolid files? This was a upgrade from solidworks 2001 plus pack to v2003.

Actually from the FTP site.

 

You can download the converter for Mastercam 9.0 or 9.0 SP1 to have a direct conversion of soliworkds (*.sldprt) to Mastercam.

 

Once installed run it as a "c-hook"

I've downloaded the converter and can't get it to work.

The .doc that comes with it says this:

 

After Mastercam V9.0’s File/Convert/Parasolid read fails (with Parasolid’s “Schema Incompatible” and our “Can’t find Parasolid data” messages), click on the ‘Cancel’ to back out of the Parasolid file converter. Press “Alt-C” and select the SW2003.DLL C-Hook. This will convert the .X_B file to Parasolid V13 and then bring it into Mastercam.

 

So, do you have to have .X_B extension or will .sldprt work?

The converter works great for me, Kevin, the instuctions are accurate, but it did take a little time for me to get the method sorted for a start.

We save Solidworks file as .X_T file. It works simple and fine.
