Min/Max Z Depths Post

Bob,

Yes, there is a bit of work involved tying in the the Zmin/Zmax, even if you copy and paste from MpMaster, there are variables that need to be formatted and initialized, a buffer table that needs to be built, postblocks to be setup,.... it can be a very interesting project if you're looking to learn how the post structure works.

If you are looking for it to be as simple as flipping a switch to turn it on then MpMaster is the way to go.

I tried in the past unsuccessfully so I am aware of how much work it is. I have a lot invested in my current post with misc integers and probing routines that I can't really start from scratch with mpmaster. I threw in the towel and sent it off (a few minutes ago) to have it modified by someone that knows what they are doing. I am looking forward to having this added because it will make it a lot easier to verify if tools are set safely at the machine.

Hi John,

I tried to copy those codes to the post, but it didn't work.

If you're talking about "output_z : yes$ #Output Z Min and Z Max values (yes or no)", that is a switch used in the output logic.

You'll need to add all of the variable and string declarations used for depth calc and output, buffer 5 declaration, buffer 5 logic, read/write calls, output lines, etc from the Mpmaster post.

Is there any reason why you can't just use the Mpmaster post as is?

Much easier IMHO. Mpmaster X5
