Hello all,

I have a part here that has 2 intersecting holes that I would like to deburr the break thru with a lollipop cutter or something similar.

How would you multi axis guys approach something like this?? This is new territory for me.

I only have 3 axis mills to accomplish this. I can't seem to get anything to work. Attatched is the .MCX file in question. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Gonna be tough to drive a tool to follow that path since there are a couple different dias.

You can get a lollipop tool to follow the geo wth a 3d toolpath but it wants to gouge the

walls. Maybe create a chamfer and use a surface toolpath but even that will take a bit of work.

Especially since it get so close to the bottom of the lower dia

PEACE :D

Thanks for the reply Hardmill. Ya I tried doing it with 3d contour, creating geometry, etc... I was hoping there was a cleaner way to do it.

I appreciate you looking at it for me.

Surface-Finish-Contour supports undercuts and lollipop tooling...

Is there any way to do undercuts with a keyway type cutter? Let's say I need to do a part which is like a golfball on a tee and the toolpath has to go from the top down to the tee. There is not enough room to use a true lollipop shaped cutter, but a keyway cutter with a full radius would fit.
