When is Mastercam going to add mating abilities? There is a lot of times that I need to have two models together to get the job done. I don't like that I have to measure the distance the two are apart and then move them or translate from point to point. It would be nice to have mating abilities. A lot of times I go to solidworks and mate them and parasolid them into Mastercam.

I doubt they will even add that, but I hope I wrong..

SolidWorks does it so well I don't even try in Mastercam..

Design in SW, assign a coordinate system .. parasolid out of SW

and into MC.. been doing it that way for nearly a decade now.. and

can't see any need to change..

I think Mastercam for SolidWorks would work very well for some types of work.
