Just curious, what is the purpose of placing tabs and not placing tabs in wire toolpataths ?

The tabs allow you to leave the slugs of the cut hanging on so it doesn't fall on the head. Then you can cut multiple shapes while leaving the slugs hanging on in the night. Come back in the morning and just cut the tabs off.

 

Also if you don't have auto thread the tab feature is used to make a small stop move just before cut off.

Tabs allow you to do overnight burning or unattended burning. It also allows you to take skim cuts without dropping slugs and then do a cutoff and grind the tab off. If you glue the slug you can actually take tab skim cuts.

It also allows you a place to put M00 or M01 so that you can be prepared for a slug to drop.

Is there anyway to put a Moo maybe .030 before the slug drops out. I would like to be able to be at the machine as this happens so i can pull the slug out before finishing the cut. I was able to do this in Espree, but not sure how in MC. Thanks

Yes. Go the STOPS in your operation. There is where you have different options on how you want handle your tabs and slugs. You can set it up to stop before the tab cut then stop again just before it finishes cutting the tab. Play around with those settings its farely simple.
