Why do I have spots where the toolpath does not machine

It looks like it is just a graphic issue. did you run verify?

It's probably being machined, tool display might be subterranean of the surface. See your other thread for blend toolpath advice.

Chris is likely spot on, unshade your model, there is likely a complete toolpath there.

 

I too however would rather use Surface Finish Blend and than Spiral

Is it possible that you have a slope angle contraint where those areas are outside the parameters set?

Edit: I didn't see your other thread so dis-regard my suggestion. Blend is the best choice.

I agree with SF blend and un-shading. When I want true clarity, a new level with only a circle on it near the center of the tool path or completely outside it's boundary does the trick. Verify it in turbo will show it also. It looks like something else is taking place here though as the step over appears to widen at 0. 90. 180 and 270. We need more info to help.

If it's a small part, tighten the default .002 shading tessellation tolerance.
