Geometric Tolerancing

Hey all,

I am in need of your help. We did receive a DWG from a custommer and can not figure this one out:

For their geometric tolerancing, instead of the usual pictorials they have letters. I was wondering if any one of you guys has seen this before.

Thanks and have a nice day,

It's a font import issue. I've seen this with converted DWGs and MC before. The "letters" used to create the tolerance notes inside Autocad are not available to MC, and do not import. Not sure what to do to fix it, I've always just worked around it. I've also seen this in other CAM softwares before.

Huh ??? confused.gif

I havent seen it before ... but Im curious.

You mean instead of the true position symbol they have a letter ?

Are you seeing this in Mastercam after conversion ?

I recently converted an Autocrap 2000 file and GD&T didnt come through. Is it possible those are special character codes used by AutoCad ???

Hey Brent,

Thanks a lot that is exactly what I was looking for. Very appreciated. smile.gifbiggrin.gifsmile.gif

Dave, I did call the custommer but the guy couldn't give me an answer so I thought of asking here and, as usual, I got the answer in a short period of time.

Thanks again Brent and to all the others who took their time to respond cheers.gif
