An easier way

I made the mistake a few jobs ago of offering to engrave the cavity ID numbers on some neck inserts. Now I have a job for life. The problem is each neck needs a different number hence a different program(upto 50 progs).Right now I'm creating all of the numbers off in space on the first mc8 file doing the number 1. Then renaming the file for number 2 draging the number 2 into place repicking the chain and regening.I have to do this like 50 times. The numbers are projected onto the surface that they are engraved on as well. Is there an easier less programing intensive way of doing this?

I have a project that I project different logo's on the same part .

This is what I do.

I make the part and all it's operations complete.

I then put each logo on it's own layer, then program

and project each logo using a different tool no.

I load the program with all of the different logo's into the control .

I use an "M00" where the logo starts.

Then mid start the program to the tool that makes the logo I need for that P.O..

I don't know of a better projection type way, so this is what I do.

Levels seem to make the most sense. If I make a program with each letter an its own level then save the ops with geometry. Then import them all with geometry. I'm not sure if I can get projected part to come through where all I have to do is point it to the right NCI file to be projected. That way I can make a form program and merge the surfaces in as well.I like the idea of putting them in one program(saves on loading time)and getting the operator to start at the apropriate block for each number.I'll see how it works. Thanks for all of the ideas.

Well it took me about 3 hours but I made a form program for numbers 1 to 44.With each number on it's own level. Then made 44 projected ops.now all I have to do for a new job is merge in the new sufaces for projecting on to with xy zero in the right spot. Now my only question is.Is there a way to pick the surfaces for all 44 projected ops in one shot.I can pick the sufaces for the first projected op and the drag them to the other 43 ops one at a time wich doesn't take to long.Just wondering.
