Can someone please give me a process layout of how to thread mill? I am interested in ev everyhthing from how to properly create the thread geometry to correclty chaining the geometry.

Is cutter compensation typically used for thread milling? Can an taper thread be thread milled? Does this require a special tool or can geometry be created?

In most cases, no specific thread profiles are required for chaining, you merely select a circle representing the major dia. then input the correct numbers in the data fields. You need the correct tool and there are many options available. Google Thread mill to get a idea of what's available. Cutter comp is almost mandatory. Taper thread mills are common.
