I am currently running verify on mc 9.1 lathe, and i cant figure out why lathe stock flip doesnt work. It works fine in backplot, but in verify it runs the path on the stock that was just cut with out flipping the stock.

Anoyone know why this is?

Yes,run your first side in verify.

Save the STL.

Then you need to do a file/converters/STL/then "translate" (flip the stl stock)then save this new file.

You may also need to translate the stock in the "Z" position too.

When you run your 2nd side in verify, call up this file, and it will machine the 2nd side only.

hope this helps

Did you really try this ?

I've personnaly never be able to save a .stl file from verify with lathe... However, i don't understand why !

On the other hand, with Mill which can do it: If you open (converters) the .stl file created then translate it (or other xform) you can't save it anymore to .stl format because there is no surface in it...

Of course.

Run your toolpath in verify.

When it is done, hit the stl button ,and save it.

(the button may be "grayed out" but it still works). wink.gif

Not really sure why it is not working fer you. rolleyes.gif
