Stock to leave .05 bug

This has been a bug that has been haunting me since X5. I toolpathed several operations using waterline and raster leaving zero stock. I close the file and open it the next day and the "stock to leave" boxes magically change to .05". I changed ALL op and default files to leave stock at zero and the problem still crops up. Has anyone honestly found a permanent solution?

If I remember correctly this was due to using update folder on an X5 operations default folder to update it to X6. I don't see this problem when I do a clean X6 install and use the installed X6 ops default file. Its been a while, I don't remember exactly. Maybe someone else will chime in.

Hmm, I have a fresh install of X6 along with the MU2 and MU3 updates and still have the issue.

I just did a raster in X6MU2 and set stock to leave for walls and floors at zero. Saved the file, reopened , still at zero. Shutdown, start mcam, open file, still at zero. I will check it several more times over the next few days.

Rickster was fighting this problem way back when. Hey Rickster - has this problem returned on your pc?

I just noticed that I don't have to close X6 and reopen for the issue to reappear. I just hit ramsaver and all the HST toolpaths with stock to leave = zero just changed to .05. Like I said earlier. It's a fresh install on a new workstation without migrating.

Doesn't look like i have this problem . I tryed several times , no issue at all .

I'm hoping I may have found the issue. After I altered the "stock to leave" box to zero on the local and server default files (for all HST finishing ops), I went back and noticed the the "HST General" stock to leave was at .05". I changed it once again back to zero and so far it has stuck. I'll report back if the problem arises.

this problem is not plaguing my p.c. at work or at home anymore

 

last couple days other vales are changing, but I am now convinced it

is from opening older file versions.
