Looks like I'm breaking into the 5 axis world with this beast. Anyone have any experience with this machine? Pros/Cons? I'm going to hit up my reseller for a post tomorrow and see what's available.

other than the z travel will reach to table with a tool I got nothen. sorry could not resist after watching that tube.

Okuma makes a pretty fine machine.

I would pay special attention to the install, level and tram. have not worked with this specific machine but I see out riggers on the saddle which ads some dynamics in level.

that being said looks heavy and if not on a very solid pad may need relevel time to time.

+1 to the install. We have installed a few of the Millac 852V which is the same machine but only 3 axis. The outriggers add some complexity to the install. We normally add a few extra days of planned time for the install.

We will be pouring a pad for this this machine as we have 2 of the 852's now without a slab and they are a pain to maintain with those outriggers. This thing is 40 feet long with the chip conveyor sticking out the side. I'll be shooting you a pm doug.
