Corrupt Entities

When I open a file I receive a message saying "12 corrupt entities were brought in". Mastercam is really slow while working with this file. How can I remove the corrupt entities? What can I do to make Mastercam run normal again while working with this file? It's nothing large nor fancy.

Thanks.

What kind of geometry is in the file?

Solids?

For example, if some of the geometry used to create the solids got deleted, you have some bad solids there. You could go into the solids tree and look for the dirty solids and try to repair them.

Another thing you could try, is save the geometry you really need using "Save As" function and create a new file.

Then, open the new file and go from there.

Helps if I read the message correctly, eh. It does say were NOT brought in.

The geometry is a .stp file I am opening and having to use the create trimmed surfaces option in the config to get any kind of useful geometry.

I tried the save as option and things are still running slow.

After opening re-save. Then re-open. You will no longer receive the message. I get that a lot with one of our customers. For me it usually has to do with threaded holes in a solid where they have modeled in the major diameter of the threaded hole as a separate solid for some reason. Not sure why that would be slowing you down though???
