"Too many files open" error

I'm importing a DWG file and when saving it for the first time, I get this error. There are no other files open. I rebooted and tried again, but still got the error. Memory allocations are the same as what they've been when we've had 5 sessions of MC open.

I can't save or save some. The file is on a network but it's not open on any other machine. Other files save just fine. Below are the results when scanning the file.

Entity: Arc Counted: 1

Try to enlarge memory allocations .

May be a dwg file has external references and blocks ?

If so looking at it `s size may fool you about it`s real size.

I would check it for blocks and xref inside Autocad or Intellicad and transform it to the regular file without them.

Xref->bind and after that explode .

And after that try once more .

HTH.

HAGD.

Iskander teh explode all enteties !

Actually it is a bug that has been fixed in V9.1Sp2.

When I saw "Entity: Body Counted: 1704 " I realized that it looked familiar. There are 1704 solids in the file - each one gets written to a temporary SAT file in order to be read in. We were accidentally doing lots of file 'open's without any 'close's, and we found that there actually can be a limit to the number of files you can have open.

I updated all seats of MC to SP2 today. I guess I won't see that anymore than.

PDG, that's the same problem that I had a while back when getting the "mill.exe has to shut down" error. You mentioned it back then (about a month ago) too. Glad to see it fixed.
