x7 start problem

Hello ,

Anyone can explaine next paradox :

Saddenly mastercam x7 start read configuration files from shared mcamx6 directory .

Even deleting config file does not help.

Any medicine to fix this problem ?

Maybe an uninstall/repair?

This happened on my machine at work. Had to uninstall then resintall the software. Dont forget to reboot the PC in between !

Did you migrate your settings/files over from X6?

Did you copy your config over from X6?

I am guessing it wasn't doing this before since it suddenly changed. What changed on your computer?

 

If you close X7 open the following folder C:\Users\<your_name>\Documents\my mcamx7\CONFIG and select the two following two files mcamx.config & mcamxm.config delete them and restart the software it should reset your config and now everything should be reading from X7.

It was working fine since x7 was released .

It happened after i opened mcx6 file .

Looks like it read config from x6.

How i can redirect my x7 back to x7 config ?
