I see. So you're not concerned about the rolling over edges, you are using a contour as a boundary and it's violating. I would guess it's your setting on the cut parameter page. How do you have this area defined? (see attached)

 

Start by putting some values in the offset distance and see if your toolpath starts to pull back from the boundary. In my opinion this material boundary section is buggy. I've had to put strange offset values in here to get my tools off the walls before. I don't know why.

totally agree with you. And I have noticed this same bug. This also happened in X6.

 

See if you can't submit this as a bug, so maybe they can get it fix.

 

The first rule of MasterCam should be, never, ever, violate check or boundary surfaces. EVER.

 

This is why I also use Vericut.

 

 

yeah I could do that but I shouldn't have to.. I hate being a crash test dummy, every time they come out with a new version. I have it set to center... Not ok to go out past center...but it does!!!

 

BTW - I think you should have this set to inside, not center.
