Left hand thread mill

I have never done this before, I need to cut a 1"-8 thread with a single point tool that only cuts right hand? Any Idea's?

Wouldn't you just the tool to start at the same spot but just helix in a different direction?

just change the m03 to m04. fixed.

like rocket said, only spiral direction changes between LH and RH.

also bottom to top Vs. top to bottom reverses, on a mill, to maintain climb cutting.

On a HMC, going from top to bottom is no problem because of the natural chip evacuation.

On a VMC, you still want to go from bottom to top so you're working the swarf out of the hole.

exactly if it's a single point cut top to bottom and change the helix direction.
